Coronavirus: Information to patients, next of kin and other visitors

If you need medical assistance, please contact your GP (fastlege), or the emergency room (legevakt), phone number 116 117. The medical emergency line (113) is reserved for life threatening situations.

Visitor restrictions at Vestre Viken hospital trust

In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus at the hospitals, Vestre Viken has implemented some visitor restrictions.

As of October 1st 2021 there is no longer any COVID-19 access control at our entrances.

Patients that need assistance can bring a companion.

If you want to visit a patient, please call the relevant ward or department for further information about visiting times and special arrangements they may have due to the covid pandemic.

Face Masks are strongly recommended when a distance of at least one meter from others can not be kept. Some departments may still require that you use a mask. Information about special restrictions or requirements will usually be shown on posters.

Do not enter the hospital if you have

  • had a fever, cough, cold or heavy breathing within the last week
  • a confirmed case of coronavirus
  • had close contact with someone with confirmed coronavirus within the last 10 days
  • been abroad within the last 10 days
